A Vietnamese man who was arrested for selling Viagra pills online is facing a charge of sex trafficking in the country, and has been charged with two offences.
Police said that while the accused, who has been named as a defendant in the case, was in custody, he was carrying out sexual shoplifting.
The Viagra tablets were supplied by a supplier in the province of Saigon, where he is a resident of a small village in the north of the province, police said. He was arrested after he made a telephone call from the home of a colleague. The woman answered and the accused sold the tablets and ordered him to a store. After about 10 minutes, the accused left the shop.
Police said he would be taken to the police station and questioned about his relationship with his colleague, according to the case report.
The case was brought to the attention of the Saigon Police Service, which was investigating the case.
Sildenafil, which is sold by the seller as Viagra, is known as the "little blue pill" in the country. It is a prescription medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction in men.
